Blackridge Overland Ltd (“Blackridge”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates blackridgeoverland.co.uk and designs and supplies adventure vans and related equipment.

  • Enquiry details: your name, email address, telephone number, preferred model, budget, timescale, intended use and anything you include in your message.
  • Configurator details: the vehicle, layout, equipment and optional features you select, together with the estimated build value.
  • Shop and transaction details: products viewed or selected and information needed to complete an order. Card and checkout information is handled by Shopify and its payment providers; we do not store complete payment-card details.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser and device information, pages requested, security logs and diagnostic information generated when you use the website.
  • Analytics information: website usage information collected through Google Analytics only when you choose “Accept analytics”.
  • Cookie preferences: your choice to accept analytics or use essential services only.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries and discuss a possible build or purchase;
  • prepare specifications, estimates and proposals;
  • provide products, services and customer support;
  • operate, secure, diagnose and improve the website;
  • measure website use where you have consented to analytics;

  • Steps before entering a contract and performance of a contract when responding to a build enquiry, producing a specification or fulfilling an order.

  • Legal obligation where we must keep records or disclose information under applicable law.

5. Who receives your information

  • LCN: website hosting and related infrastructure.
  • Shopify and its payment providers: online shop, cart and checkout services.
  • Google Analytics: optional website analytics, activated only after consent.
  • Email and communications providers: delivery of enquiries and business correspondence.
  • Professional advisers and authorities: where reasonably necessary for legal, accounting, insurance, fraud prevention or regulatory purposes.

We do not sell your personal information.

7. How long we keep information

We keep enquiry and configurator information only as long as reasonably needed to respond, prepare a proposal and maintain appropriate business records. Ordinarily, unsuccessful enquiries are reviewed for deletion after 24 months. Customer, transaction, tax and warranty records may be kept longer where required by law or needed to provide ongoing support. Technical and analytics data is retained according to our security needs and the settings of the relevant provider.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information. No internet service is completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed for your enquiry.
